Why Become A Consultant or Affiliate?

Once upon a time marketing was driven by print and radio media, then TV jumped in and we used the ad breaks to leave the room and make a cuppa. In the past ten years, however, the rise of bloggers, vloggers and youtubers has seen our interaction with sales change. In my view, there are two simple pathways into this world – and I say this because this is my journey. The first is through an affiliate relationship and the second is by becoming a consultant. Affiliate marketing – this allows you to become a helper in the promotion of consumer goods and services by signing up to a company…

    Exciting Developments in Skincare

Skincare is an enormous buisiness – everyone does have skin afterall! In this enormous business world there is a constant need for updating both in the potency and safety of formulations and environmental awareness.  Obviously, I am totally biased towards Rodan & Fields products for skincare – with good reason – they absolutely work, but also, as a company they are conscious of making improvements, team building and helping society. Recently, a series of new, more effective treatments have been launched and will be available to customers in November, but also a partnership with Terracycle has been developed. Terracycle is a recyling company, so all of those jars, tubes and…

    October Skin Update

This journey began in earnest two years ago when I realised that my skin was aging quicker than I would like and I could do something about it. I took small steps at first, because – well, I didn’t really know better. Skin ages – it is what happens. It had been aging all of my life – but when I noticed the rapid increase in the rate of aging shortly after I turned 40, I decided to see what I could do about it. You have heard this story before – the end result is that I found Rodan & Fields products. Since then, one improvement has led to…

What’s the Go with Skin Care?

The thing with skin care is that it matters more than you think and it can easily get away from you as you age. Think about what we do to our skin daily – hopefully it’s getting washed, moisturised and sunscreened at a bare minimum, but we also expose it to fragrances, make-up and the pollution and toxins that surround us on a daily basis. If you are going to bed with only a morning routine, then you are condeming your skin to hours of pore-clogging, polluting chemicals either sitting on or soaking into the surface! At a minimum, our skin – particularly the regularly exposed areas should be –…

    June skin update 2020

Bringing my skin back to its former glory has been an event. It was one of those things that suddenly changed for the poorer – it’s on it’s way back now! More than two years ago, I hit that critical point where you realise that things will continue to deteriorate unless you actively decide to make changes. Granted, usually changes cost money and this can be a hurdle in itself, but sometimes, the change is needed. Most of my life, I had dream skin. A little dry, but nothing to really worry about. I moisturised twice daily from my teenage years and things were good. Suddenly, (well it seemed sudden…

    Adult Acne Anguish

I can only imagine the anguish of adults that continue to suffer from problem skin and acne beyond their teenage years. I am blessed to have always had relatively clear skin (only about 15% of the population are this lucky)! Sure, I get the occassional spot, but by and large, my skin is clear. I do, however, have adult friends who still suffer from skin conditions. I’d love to be able to say to them, R+F has something that can fix that, but broaching the topic can cause such distress that it is difficult to do so – hence this blog post, I guess.  In my experience, it is not…

Radiant Defense – Liquid Tinted Moisturiser

Every outfit should begin with your skin. Your skin and complexion is such an important aspect of how a colour relationship is formed between your clothing and your face. We all have an undertone and either fall into a warm, cool or neutral skin tone. The way we treat our skin from the base up, therefore, impacts our final result. It can make or break an outfit! I have spoken before about the importance of sunscreen and protecting your skin from the damaging effects of UVA and UVB. I also recognise that many of us like to add a touch of colour to provide an even base for creating the…

    Hydration Heroes

Skin hydration treatments have become more prominent since we all found out about hyaluronic acid and its magical water holding properties. Admittedly, as I have aged, the need to hydrate has become more pressing – particularly when I put makeup around my eyes. The thinning skin in that area looked worse and worse with powdered make-up, until I bit the bullet and shifted the bulk of my make-up to creams. I’ve spoken before about the sun damage on my skin, which I am using the R+F Reverse regimen to correct, but I am also attempting to add hydration and help some of the more papery (I believe the correct term…
