Goals for 2021 – changes afoot!

Although 2020 was a surprising year for the world, sometimes filled with grief and sorrow, but also governed by a fundamental appreciation of what used to be ‘normal’, for me, it was a year of growth. In one of my posts I discussed the value in investing in among other things, your skin and your education – and 2020 was a year I took new steps in both of these aspects. For my skin, and thanks to becoming an R+F consultant, I upgraded my skincare routine and reduced the plethora of products I was using to a simple few, high quality ones. I reduced and simplified my routines and make…

    Merry Christmas – Happy 2021!

It’s time to let go and embrace this Christmas season. The year has been long and full of surprises – not all of them well received, but it is time to reflect and move on to brighter opportunities in 2021. This is the time for connecting with friends and family, a time to get a bit silly, and a time to spring clean our lives ready for those new year resolutions that we just might keep this time around. I’ll be switching off on the blogging front for the next few weeks to put more time and effort into other pursuits. This does not mean there will be nothing, it…

    Gifts for the Fur Children

Fur children can be just as much a part of the family as the human children. Gift giving, however, needs to be carefully considered – we don’t want to make out fur children sick with inappropriate gifts. It may be tempting to give them extra food treats, but be mindful, a lot of dogs end up with pancreatitis following Christmas. This year, be generous, be kind, but don’t change too much in your pet’s diet too quickly. Instead, gift the give of love and spend more time playing and cuddling the fur children. If you feel compelled to put a little something under the tree for the fur babies, here…

    November Favourites 2020

I’m still coming to terms with the fact that November has started, let alone about to end! Despite everything 2020 has thrown at us, the year has progressed at a rapid pace and I suddenly find my calendar for December filling up! This month I have enjoyed things like being able to shop some of my favourites online (Partylite) and finding some fabulous decorating treasures (candlesticks from Myer). I have been wearing my new wedges and found an awesome bra that doesn’t fall off my shoulders! All in all, a pretty successful month! I’ll be using 3 sets of the Myer candlesticks for my Christmas kitchen island centrepiece. Of course,…

    Stylish Gifts For Him

We all have them, that male in our lives who claims they don’t know what gift they would like or worse, they don’t care what gift you give them. Really? Where is the hope and anticipation in such a practice? On the other hand, knowing someone so well that you don’t need to ask has some benefits too! I have a stylish husband and a non-commital son – so, both extremes of the gift-giving continuum – but neither particularly helpful when it comes to answering the gift-giving questions. In this post, I’m leaning towards gifts for the stylish male, or, the one who could benefit from being a tad more…

    Gifts for a Gin-o-phile

Let me say up front, I am not a gin drinker, but my husband and friends all are. They are the partakers in Ginuary, tastings and experiences and the classic G & T after work. So, although I don’t care for it myself, I am looking for gifting options for my near and dear. I’ve been looking into subscriptions and gift sets; tasting tours and lessons – here are some of the interesting options I have found. The big gin concept is a subscriptions to a gin-of-the-month club. Gintonica has options that allow you to dabble in the idea – try it a month at a time – or dive…

Why Become A Consultant or Affiliate?

Once upon a time marketing was driven by print and radio media, then TV jumped in and we used the ad breaks to leave the room and make a cuppa. In the past ten years, however, the rise of bloggers, vloggers and youtubers has seen our interaction with sales change. In my view, there are two simple pathways into this world – and I say this because this is my journey. The first is through an affiliate relationship and the second is by becoming a consultant. Affiliate marketing – this allows you to become a helper in the promotion of consumer goods and services by signing up to a company…

    July Favourites 2020

July is normally a time where I stay inside hoping for a nice sunny day, but ultimately avoiding the cold by snuggling in bed with a movie or three. This year, however, July was fabulous. I spent more time out in the garden than I have in years of Tasmanian winters! There were days, indeed, where I just kept searching for things to tinker with, just so I could stay out in the mild weather! As the weather was so nice, I did a lot of heavy-duty gardening – the consequences of this should have been rough hands – but thanks to some moisturising treatments I have had access to…

    June Favourites 2020

June had barely begun and suddenly it is over! It is one of those months that always seems to fly by – life, I guess, is always busy in June – but this year, more so than before! I did get the chance to try a few new things this month and reverted to some older favourites as well. It was a cold June, some years that is not the case. This year we had frosts in the early weeks and rain (so much rain) in the last days. It was a month to stay home (if you could) and batten down the hatches.  Here are some of my picks…

    Loving in May 2020

May in 2020 has been an unusual time. I worked from home for the vast majority of it, watched as the world went a little stir-crazy and personally dived into a whole lot of new projects that I had been meaning to get back into for a long time. Amongst all this, I definitely had some favourites. Here are the top 5 items that I was lovng in May 2020. Re-watching all things Jurassic Dinosaurs have always been my thing! I have been mesmerised by them since before I started school. In 1993, Jurassic Park was released and wow! For the first time, dinosaurs were effectively portrayed in film and they…
